Dera Ismail Khan is one of the famous old districts of Khayber Pashtoon Khow of Pakistan.It has on its credit some most influential representatives like Mulana Mufti Mahmood, his son Mulana Fazalurahman( once opposition leader/shadow Prime Minister), Fazal Karim Khan Kundi, Pir Sabir Shah and now Fasil Karim Khan the Deputy Speaker of National Assembly. But it is an irony of fate that after the powerful era of the above politicians we the inhabitants of DIKhan even today have no facility of pure drinking water at home.Besides, with thumping majority and to some extent clean sweep in the Provence, the MMA provincial government could not provide any tangible results in this sector in the city. The district Government under the Nazimship of Major (R) Latifullah Khan Alizai (late) launched a Maiga project in this connection but it could not work.Now, we have some dreams, the dream of drinking water at home. But question arises who will fulfil our dreams? our representative, can be. But, no it will be a pipe dream to have any expectation. Will the present provincial representation do any thing in this direction. Can be. But they could not do any thing in this direction during their three years in power.
I think, it is our fault, we are not sincere with ourselves, we are not sincere with our soil .We can vote on these issues and can reject some one on these solid grounds.
To solve this issue we will have to wait for the coming elections. Let us promise with ourselves that we will vote those who will work for the betterment of community not for individuals. For those who will address the real issues of the community.
